The birds are made of ceramic and semi solid.
This art work is inspired by Mayan calendar and expresses the eternal flux of time with 12 birds which indicate the months or the hours, flying around the golden sun. The icons and the Nahuatl words from the Mayan calendar drawn in the image help to make the spectators travel artistically beyond what they see.
