Through my travels and life in diverse lands, I have immersed myself in various cultures and daily rhythms. My extensive time in Mexico, in particular, shattered my preconceptions and constraints, leading me toward the very essence of expression.
The conviction I gained there is the vision of a "primordial world" that exists beyond all boundaries and limitations. It is a realm of absolute freedom, joy, and profound tranquility that transcends words. At the core of my creation lies the desire to scoop up the invisible "scents of light" that permeate this world.
The bark paper "Amate," which I encountered in Mexico, is a symbol of life force used since ancient times for rituals and records. The "Ceramics" I fire myself represent the memory of matter, as earth is transformed by fire into something eternal. The process of layering these distinct materials to spin organic textures is, for me, a ritual of liberating the soul.
I wish for viewers to feel the light overflowing from within and to share in the moment when the soul is set free. It is my hope that my work serves as a window to reconnect with the world, lighting a quiet spark of happiness in the viewer's daily life.
